Jim Smart is well known for his tribute to Queen front man Freddie Mercury and for his hilarious and unique hypnotist show 'Hypnosong', as well as being the director and presenter of  Loch Lomond TV, and a presenter on Lomond Radio. 


In 2014, Jim featured on the Scottish Academy award nominated documentary "Viva Variety" for BBC Scotland. The four part fly on the wall documentary about the entertainment business, gave viewers an insight into the difficulties and challenges professional entertainers and managers face on a daily basis.  Episode 3 featured Jim and also included footage from his Freddie Mercury tribute and hypnotist show.

Jim, along with his group 'ScotSoul' took part in BBC1's prime time Saturday night entertainment show 'Pitch Battle'. The group won their heat on Saturday 24th June 2017 and went on to secure 3rd place in the LIVE final on 22nd July 2017, performing with the legendary Chaka Khan. During the live final, Jim also shared a stage with music legends Jermaine Jackson, Will Young, Seal, Nick Jonas and Bebe Rexha.

Other television appearances include performing on STV`s "Live At Five" show in July 2017, performing his song "Home Is Where The Heart Is" as part of BBC Newsnight`s Referendum review in August 2014, and an interview on the main STV News  programme on 9th September 2014 about his song and views.  Jim has also been featured in various entertainment news articles, both online and in print.

Jim recorded a Scottish music album "Scotland Forever", released in August 2017, including the hit single "Whit`s Fur Ye`ll No Go By Ye", a further 3 original songs and a 2017 version of traditional Scottish classic "Loch Lomond".  You can download the whole album or individual tracks below.
